Assembler II – switch air electrical solder

Overview

The Soldering and Electricals installs components/ parts, assembles, wires, and/or repairs products, basic components, and subassemblies, including micro-switch and electronic assemblies. Aligns and joins parts into housing, modifies, fabricates, and builds equipment and subassemblies using power tools, hand tools, and various soldering equipment.

Hourly Rate: $18.00 - $22.00

Duties and Responsibilities

Level I

• Performs soldering per PS131 on Micro-switches and electrical connectors
• Performs Potting and curing applications using Stycast and Dymax
• Assembles Micro-switch and synchronize mechanical assemblies
• Ability to train in solder operations as required

Level II

• Inspects solder per J-STD-001
• Trains solder operations

Education and Experience

• High School diploma required
• 1-3 years’ assembly experience
• Working knowledge of J-STD-001 work requirement
• Basic understanding of electrical components
• Experience soldering surface mount and through-hole components
• Basic understanding of SDS and other Material Data Sheets
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Pass regular soldering certification tests and annual eye exams
